Need something to fill your room or add interest, why not try these ideas for decorating with books. I am always changing things up in my house and I don’t like to spend a lot of money to do it. My husband is an avid reader and I too am becoming more of a reader, so we have lots of books to work with. Here are some examples of how I used books to add interest to my home. :)
Think about the book’s color. Books can add just the right amount of color that you want.
Books also give interest by changing up the heights which would otherwise be a flat surface.
Books can also jazz up a side table.
Books displayed can remind you to read those books and they can also remind you of things that you should remember that you have read. For instance, here are some books on marriage and love that I sat out for Valentines Day. I think I will leave them out so I can remember the things I have read and try my best to apply them. :)
Last but not least, books can put a little whimsy in your decor. Here is a set of little journals that I bought for $2 (after Christmas sale at Target). They add color and by having them set out I remember to write in them. These are our family journals. Anytime anyone in the family wants to write something, they are welcome to write a prayer, a memory, or just about anything. There is a separate book for each month of the year.
P.S. All the books shown, I would whole heartedly recommend and give the “So Love That” stamp of approval!!! Any questions on the books, ask away!
